Pope Leo XIV to Have Surgery for Early, Contained Lung Nodule

Pope Leo XIV, 71, said on 11 October in St Peter's Square he will have surgery in the coming days. Doctors found an early lung nodule — a small growth — confined to one spot. He said it was well-contained and he agreed to surgery on medical advice.
