Pope Leo XIV to undergo surgery for early lung nodule

Pope Leo XIV, 71, announced on 11 October in St Peter's Square that he will undergo surgery in the coming days after doctors found an early, well-localised nodule on his lung. He said the mass was well-contained and that he agreed to intervention on medical advice.
