Eight U.S. Marines Hurt in Sept. 14 Attack Near Iran

Eight U.S. Marines were hurt breathing smoke and with possible head injuries when Iran fired a ship-targeting missile in the narrow Hormuz waterway on Sept. 14, U.S. media reported Sept. 27. Officials said they were on a ship not run by the Navy. The Pentagon lists 861 wounded and at least 19 dead since fighting started Feb. 28.
