Eight U.S. Marines hurt in Sept. 14 Iranian missile attack in Hormuz

Eight U.S. Marines suffered smoke inhalation and potential traumatic brain injuries in a Sept. 14 Iranian anti-ship cruise missile attack in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. media reported Sept. 27. Officials said they were aboard a non-Navy vessel. The Pentagon lists 861 wounded and at least 19 dead since the war began Feb. 28.
