Eight U.S. Marines Hurt in Iranian Missile Strike in Hormuz

Eight U.S. Marines suffered smoke inhalation and possible concussion-type brain injuries in a Sept. 14 Iranian anti-ship cruise missile attack — a missile built to strike ships — in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. media reported Sept. 27. Officials said they were on a non-Navy ship. The Pentagon lists 861 wounded and at least 19 dead since the war began Feb. 28.
