YouTube expanded its AI system for detecting deepfakes to talent agencies, management companies, and celebrities in April 2026, removing the requirement for active YouTube channels. Major agencies including CAA, UTA, and WME have joined the initiative. The tool scans for synthetic facial content and flags suspected unauthorized impersonations for human review rather than automatic removal.
