YouTube Helps Stars Protect Their Faces From Fake Video Copies

YouTube has expanded its tool for detecting fake videos of celebrities to talent agencies and management companies, dropping the requirement that entertainers maintain their own YouTube channels. The system scans for synthetic facial content — deepfakes — and flags suspicious videos for human review and removal, rather than taking them down automatically. Major agencies including CAA, UTA, and WME are participating.
