Spyware Hits Serbian Activists Before Elections

At least 14 Serbian civil society figures were targeted with mercenary spyware since early 2026, Share Foundation reported. The group said the timing around March's local elections may have been practice before October's national vote. Citizen Lab confirmed Pegasus spyware in one case. Speaker Ana Brnabić denied the targeting. No evidence directly links it to President Vučić's government.
