PM's office blocks release of grey-zone operations advice
The Prime Minister's office has refused to release any documents — or even their titles — on advice about grey-zone operations, citing national security. Grey-zone activity refers to hostile actions below the threshold of war, such as sabotage or disinformation. An RNZ Official Information Act request confirmed several documents exist, but none were released. The only related disclosure is a 24/7 undersea cable monitoring system announced in June.
