Parent residence rules due by end of August

Immigration Minister Erica Stanford's office says the government will announce residence rules for parents of migrant New Zealanders by end of August 2025. This is separate from the Parent Boost Visitor Visa, which opened applications on 27 August but offers no path to permanent residence.
