Samsung split its Galaxy Z Fold book-style foldable into two tiers at its July 22, 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event: a base Fold 8 from $1,900 and a premium Fold 8 Ultra. Each prior generation shipped as a single SKU. The base model ships August 7.
