Samsung Splits Galaxy Z Fold 8 Into Base and Ultra Tiers — a First for the Series

At its July 22, 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung split the Galaxy Z Fold lineup into a base Fold 8 (from $1,900) and a premium Fold 8 Ultra — the first time the book-style foldable has been tiered. Samsung previously sold each generation as a single SKU. The base model ships August 7.
