Blomkamp's "Nightborne": A Short Film Built Entirely from AI-Generated Video

Director Neill Blomkamp released "Nightborne," a 13-minute sci-fi horror short where every shot was produced using ByteDance's Seedance 2.0, a text-to-video generator that turns written prompts into moving images. Loosely based on Peter Watts' novel "Echopraxia," it is the first release from Barley Studios, Blomkamp's new AI production company. He says he plans to produce a full feature film this way.
