Thousands of public servants face below-inflation pay offers across four agencies
About 2,700 MBIE staff held a stop-work meeting on Wednesday. The PSA union is negotiating for more than 10,000 workers across MBIE, Internal Affairs, Corrections and MSD. All face pay offers the union says are well below inflation. MBIE's offer would also slow progression to higher pay bands. Immigration officers, most earning around $70,000, are the largest group affected. MBIE did not provide comment.
