Thousands of public servants across four agencies face sub-inflation pay offers

About 2,700 MBIE workers held a stop-work meeting on Wednesday as the PSA negotiates for more than 10,000 public servants across MBIE, Internal Affairs, Corrections and MSD. The union says all face pay offers "well below inflation." MBIE's offer would also slow progression to higher pay bands. Immigration officers, most earning around $70,000, are the largest affected group. RNZ approached MBIE for comment; none was provided at publication.
