US tariffs on New Zealand goods to rise to 12.5%, McClay says

Trade Minister Todd McClay says the US will likely raise tariffs on New Zealand exports to 12.5 percent this week. A temporary 10 percent rate — set after a court ruled the original 15 percent illegal — expires now. McClay called 12.5 percent "still unhelpful" for exporters, though lower than before.
