US tariffs on New Zealand exports expected to rise to 12.5% this week, McClay says
Trade Minister Todd McClay says the US is expected to raise tariffs on New Zealand exports to 12.5 percent this week as a 150-day court-ordered interim rate of 10 percent expires. A US federal court had found the original 15 percent tariff illegal. McClay described 12.5 percent as "still unhelpful" for exporters, though lower than the prior rate.
