Yarbo Lawn Mowers Vulnerable to Remote Hijacking via Shared Root Password
Every Yarbo robotic mower ships with an identical hardcoded root password, allowing remote attackers to control entire fleets once any single unit is compromised. A researcher demonstrated takeover from 6,000 miles away, gaining access to Wi-Fi credentials, home addresses, and camera feeds. The 200-pound machines can be repurposed to probe networks or inflict physical damage. Yarbo acknowledged the flaw and is developing a patch.
