Yarbo's Identical Root Passwords Expose 200-Pound Robots to Global Remote Hijacking
Every Yarbo robot lawn mower ships with the same hardcoded root password, granting remote attackers global fleet access once any single unit is compromised. Researcher Makris demonstrated control from 6,000 miles away. Exploits extract Wi-Fi credentials, home addresses, and camera feeds. The 200-pound blade-equipped machines can be reprogrammed to probe networks or cause physical harm. Yarbo confirmed the vulnerability and said it is developing a fix.
