NASA Shares Psyche Spacecraft's Mars Flyby Timelapse

NASA released a July 17 timelapse built from thousands of images captured by the Psyche spacecraft's multispectral imager during its May 2026 Mars gravity-assist flyby. The footage shows crescent Mars, surface detail at closest approach May 15, the icy south pole receding, and both Martian moons, Phobos and Deimos. Psyche now continues to asteroid Psyche, arriving in 2029.
