ICE Orders Body Cameras for All Vehicle Stops After Two Fatal Shootings Yielded No Footage

ICE will require officers to wear body cameras during vehicle stops nationwide within 60 days, border czar Tom Homan announced July 19. The policy follows two fatal shootings during July traffic stops in Houston and Biddeford, Maine — neither captured on camera. Both men killed were not the operations' intended targets. Cameras are purchased; trainer preparation is underway.
