Canyon's New E-Bikes Get Lighter Batteries—Here's Why That Matters
Canyon has updated its Spectral:ON and Torque:ON electric mountain bikes with a smaller 800Wh battery that's 150 grams lighter than the old 900Wh version. Even though the new battery holds less energy, it actually works better thanks to newer cell technology and a lighter aluminum case. This weight savings is a big deal for e-mountain biking, where lighter bikes are easier to handle and less tiring to ride. The new batteries work with Shimano's EP801 motor and come with a two-year warranty, helping Canyon compete in the high-end e-bike market where every gram counts.
