Immunologist Designs NK Cell Therapies to Fight Drug-Resistant Cancers

Daniel Davis at Imperial College has developed NK cell therapies, engineered immune cells designed to work where checkpoint inhibitors and CAR-T treatments fail. Working with Bristol Myers Squibb, his team altered how these immune cells position themselves to kill cancer while resisting suppression by the tumor. Two 2024 papers detail the molecular approach behind this advance.
