DJI Unveils Heavy-Lift Delivery Drone and Aligns Safety Systems With FAA Rules

DJI announced the FlyCart 30 on January 10, a delivery drone designed for commercial use that can carry 30–40 kilograms (66–88 pounds) of cargo up to 28 kilometers (17 miles) on a single flight. Shortly after, the company updated its geofencing system—the software that prevents drones from flying into restricted airspace—so that all U.S. DJI drones now use official FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) no-fly zone data instead of DJI's own proprietary restrictions. These two announcements show DJI's strategy to become a more trusted partner for U.S. businesses by reducing operational obstacles for commercial customers and demonstrating closer alignment with government aviation rules.
