Drone Company DJI Launches Delivery Robot and Updates Safety Rules

DJI, a major drone maker, announced a new delivery drone called the FlyCart 30 on January 10. This drone can carry packages weighing 30–40 kilograms (about 65–90 pounds) across distances up to 28 kilometers (roughly 17 miles). A few days later, DJI updated the safety systems on all its drones used in the United States. Instead of using its own no-fly zone maps, the company now uses official government maps from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), which is the U.S. agency that oversees airplane and drone rules. These changes show that DJI wants to do more business with U.S. companies by making its drones easier to use and by following government rules more closely.
