UK Funds £15M Drive to Develop Brain Implants for Neurological Disease

The UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency is distributing over £15 million across 18 projects to develop neural interfaces that target depression, epilepsy, and chronic pain. Led by UCL with £8.1 million allocated to two projects, the three-year programme also involves Cambridge, King's College London, and Imperial College. It represents the country's largest coordinated neurotechnology investment in two decades.
