Smart breaker adds EV charging without panel upgrade

Noble Carbon, a Pittsfield startup, has built circuit breakers that vary power to EV chargers moment by moment, allowing chargers on full electrical panels with no main-panel replacement. The units fit existing slots in under five minutes, the company says. The product is now being evaluated for UL safety certification.
