Flotilla Organizer Hospitalized on Day 39 of Hunger Strike

Wael Naouar, organizer of the Global Sumud Flotilla — an aid convoy — was hospitalized in Tunisia Sept. 23 after 39 days refusing food to protest detention. Rights chief Bassem Trifi calls his condition very critical; the flotilla says semi-comatose; his lawyer says he lost over 20kg. He and three others face unproven fund-misuse charges since March.
