Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to strongly assert Beijing's claim that Taiwan belongs to China during his Sept. 24 meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington, people familiar with the plans told Reuters Sept. 23. U.S. officials want to avoid the issue. Xi is on a state visit to the U.S. Sept. 23-25 at Trump's invitation.
