Microsoft Adds Monthly Cloud Gaming Hour Caps to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft will limit Xbox cloud gaming hours starting November 2026: 15 for Ultimate, 10 for Premium, 5 for Essential. The caps end unlimited cloud streaming offered since September 2020. Microsoft cited infrastructure costs tied to usage, expecting roughly four percent of subscribers affected. Extra hours will be purchasable through the Xbox Store with rollover.
