Microsoft to Limit Xbox Cloud Gaming Hours Starting November

Microsoft will cap monthly hours for playing Xbox games streamed over the internet starting November 2026: 15 for Ultimate, 10 for Premium, 5 for Essential. This ends the unlimited streaming offered since September 2020. Microsoft blamed server costs, expecting about four percent of subscribers affected. Extra hours can be bought through the Xbox Store and rolled over.
