Microsoft Caps Xbox Cloud Gaming Hours Starting November, Ending Unlimited Model

Microsoft will impose monthly cloud gaming hour limits on all Xbox Game Pass tiers starting November 2026: 15 hours for Ultimate, 10 for Premium, 5 for Essential. The caps end unlimited cloud gaming the service offered since its September 2020 launch. Microsoft cited infrastructure costs that scale with usage. The company expects roughly four percent of subscribers to be affected. Additional hours will be purchasable through the Xbox Store with rollover.
