Federal judge gets 'nothing' from Postal Service on mail-ballot plan as states ready to send votes

A federal judge in Boston said she heard "nothing" from the U.S. Postal Service on how it would handle mail ballots for the midterms — elections held halfway through a president's term. North Carolina was set to become the first state to mail out ballots the next day.
