Netherlands Shifts $11.7B in Gold from US and Canada to UK
The Dutch Central Bank moved 10.34 billion euros ($11.73bn) in gold from the US and Canada to the UK, cutting New York holdings from 31.3% to 18.5% of total reserves. DNB President Olaf Sleijpen cited improved "tradability" and resilience. The relocation coincides with US trade wars, the Iran war, and military operations near Cuba and Venezuela.
