Netherlands Moves $11.7 Billion in Gold Reserves Out of the US and Canada

The Dutch Central Bank relocated approximately 10.34 billion euros ($11.73bn) in gold from the US and Canada to the UK, cutting New York holdings from 31.3% to 18.5% of total reserves. DNB President Olaf Sleijpen said the move improves "tradability" and strengthens resilience. The decision comes amid US trade wars, the Iran war, and military operations near Cuba and Venezuela.
