Dropped rape charges may still influence sentencing in Molly Ticehurst murder case
Daniel Billings stabbed ex-girlfriend Molly Ticehurst to death in Forbes, NSW, in April 2024, weeks after receiving bail on rape charges later dropped through plea negotiations. Justice Natalie Adams ruled those allegations can factor into sentencing, noting that spite over them could elevate his offending category. Sentencing is set for 3–4 September 2026.
