Judge says dropped rape charges can still factor into sentencing for Molly Ticehurst's murder

Daniel Billings stabbed ex-girlfriend Molly Ticehurst to death in Forbes, NSW, in April 2024, weeks after bail on rape charges later dropped through plea negotiations. Justice Natalie Adams said she could not ignore those allegations at sentencing, noting that acting out of spite over them could elevate his offending category. The hearing is set for 3–4 September 2026.
