Judge says dropped rape charges can still matter in Molly Ticehurst murder sentencing

Daniel Billings stabbed his ex-girlfriend Molly Ticehurst to death in Forbes, NSW, in April 2024. Weeks earlier, he had been freed on bail facing rape charges, later dropped after a deal. Justice Natalie Adams said she can still consider those accusations at sentencing, since anger over them may make his crime more serious. The hearing is set for 3–4 September 2026.
