Roman Space Telescope Reaches Orbit With 100× Hubble's Field of View

NASA launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on August 30, 2026, aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy from Kennedy Space Center. Its Wide Field Instrument captures 100 times more sky than Hubble at equal resolution. From Lagrange Point 2, Roman will survey dark matter, dark energy, and exoplanets, measuring light from a billion galaxies. First images are expected in early 2027.
