FBI Replaces Blanket Sex Work Hiring Ban with Tiered Disqualifiers

The FBI replaced its flat hiring ban on applicants who patronized sex workers with tiered thresholds: any incident within 10 years, three or more lifetime, or any while in a position of trust. The bureau cited otherwise qualified candidates, including service members in legal jurisdictions. A 2015 Holder memo barring current employees appears untouched. The FBI called claims that criminal solicitation is no longer disqualifying "false."
