Labour promises $21m a year to restore Māori-led trades training

Labour will pledge NZ$21 million a year to restore Māori-led trades training cut by the coalition government. The contestable fund — open to marae and iwi trusts — could reach 3000 Māori across trades from hairdressing to plumbing. Chris Hipkins said 81% of past graduates found work.
