Labour pledges $21m a year to bring back Māori trades training

Labour says it will spend NZ$21 million a year to bring back a Māori-led trades training programme the coalition government cut. Marae and iwi trusts could apply for the money to train up to 3000 Māori in trades like hairdressing and plumbing. Chris Hipkins said 81% of past graduates got jobs. Willie Jackson announced it at Wainuiomata Marae.
