
First missing Australian confirmed safe in Nepal floods; 38 still unaccounted for
Cara Severino, 25, reached her family on August 28 from Gosainkunda, where flash flooding along the China-Nepal border has killed at least 469 and left over 1,500 missing. Her phone had died and the disaster zone lacked reception. She is the first of 39 missing Australians confirmed safe; 38 remain unaccounted for.
