Rape specialist investigators to be in every England and Wales force by 2027

The government will place specialist rape and sexual offences investigators in every police force across England and Wales by the end of 2027, 18 months earlier than planned. The Home Office announced the policy last year. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said the original timetable was "too slow."
