Google launched Expert Intelligence for Gemini Notebook on August 27, 2026, letting users query purchased Google Play Books titles, generate infographics, and create AI podcasts. Over 100,000 books from Penguin Random House, Macmillan, O'Reilly Media, and others are supported. Full-text access requires verified ownership, so shared notebooks don't expose content. Google plans expansion to scholarly articles, magazines, and newspapers.
