Supreme Court Allows Trump Mail-In Voting Curbs to Take Effect Amid Ongoing Legal Challenges

On August 24, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to let the Trump administration begin enforcing its March executive order restricting mail-in voting. A separate ruling still pauses part of the plan, so implementation remains partial. California and 23 other states have filed a new lawsuit to block the order before the November 3, 2026 election.
