Supreme Court Lets Trump's New Mail-In Voting Rules Move Forward as Lawsuits Continue

On August 24, the Supreme Court voted 6-3 to let the Trump administration start enforcing new limits on mail-in voting. Another court order still blocks part of the plan, so only some rules take effect. California and 23 states are suing to stop it before the November 3, 2026 election.
