Burnham holds first devolved nations summit since becoming PM

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is hosting a summit in South Wales with the first ministers of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland — the first such meeting since he succeeded Keir Starmer on 20 July 2026. Downing Street said he wanted to discuss growth across the UK. Welsh Deputy First Minister Sioned Williams will press for steel funding and lower energy bills.
