New PM meets leaders of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is meeting the heads of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland's separate governments in South Wales — a first since he replaced Keir Starmer on 20 July 2026. His office said he wants to discuss boosting the UK economy. Wales's deputy leader Sioned Williams will ask for help with steelworks funding and cheaper energy bills.
