Willis flags January fuel excise rise won't proceed, but no formal decision yet

Finance minister Nicola Willis says the government won't increase fuel excise on 1 January, but the call isn't formalised. A Written Parliamentary Question shows a decision is needed by 31 August to feed into Treasury's Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update (PREFU). A 12 cents per litre rise is currently scheduled from January.
